Everyone tells you before you even start school to join clubs. It can seem overwhelming and like you might have too much on your plate, but if you truly want to make the most of your college experience student organizations are the way to go. Here are 5 reasons you should join a club.

Improve your resume.

Student organizations can give you just the right experience for jobs or internships. If you want to take the steps towards your future career student organizations are the way to go. Clubs provide networking opportunities, hard and soft skills and event planning experience.

Friendships.

Student organizations are the best place to meet friends. Not only will you meet people that you'll work events with and have discussions about your careers, but you'll also meet people who have the same interests and passions as you.

Time management.

You may feel like a student organization may take up too much of your time, but in my experience, it adds structure to your weekly schedule which in turn encourages time management.

Student organizations offer leadership opportunities that can prove to hiring managers that you are more than just a college student. You should definitely make the most of every opportunity that is presented to you.
