Disclaimer: This article is a compilation of research that I did online about an abducted child. Some parts may make you uncomfortable and disturb you. This was written with the intent of getting this child's story out in the world and warn others of the horrible truths that happen in our world.

John David Gosch, better known as Johnny Gosch, was born on November 12th, 1969 in Des Moines, Iowa. Johnny was just 12 years old when he was abducted while on his morning paper route on September 5th, 1982. Witnesses that morning say a man drove by Johnny and asked him for directions, this man made Johnny uncomfortable and he later told a fellow paper boy that he was freaked out by the man.

Johnny was being followed, when he was out of sight he was grabbed by two men and held down in the back seat of a Fairmont car. At this point, the commotion must have gotten the attention of some witnesses, but they claim to have only seen the car speeding away quickly.

This next bit makes me SO mad. NO ONE reported this suspicious behavior to police. I guess these people considered this normal and went on with their days. It wasn't until someone called Johnny's parents to report that they haven't received their newspaper that morning. Johnny's father immediately went out looking for Johnny, only to find his wagon still full of undelivered newspapers. His parents quickly contacted the police.

When the police were called they just couldn't be bothered with the situation and shrugged it off as a runaway case. They figured Johnny would just turn back up at some point and looked no further into it. Eventually, the police got reports of the speeding car and strange man talking to Johnny, yet the still refused to take it seriously.

Noreen Gosch, Johnny's mother, had just enough with the police and decided to take things into her own hands. She contacted family and friends to create a search party to look for Johnny.

Days and even weeks went by and still, the FBI nor the police helped find Johnny. Noreen contacted local media to try and get Johnny's name out and her message was broadcasted across the nation. She even hired a private investigator to follow the leads that police neglected to help with. What the private investigator found terrified Noreen.

Johnny was alive and hadn't been killed. He was being held captive by a cult. Johnny was being sexually tortured as they brainwashed him into being their slave. Even after finding out Johnny was alive, he was still out of reach.

Around 6 months after Johnny was abducted a woman in Oklahoma was approached by a boy screaming, "I'm Johnny Gosch and I've been kidnapped!". The boy was quickly grabbed by two men and never seen again.

In the years following johnny's abduction, a few more pieces of evidence were found. A dollar bill was found with the writing, "I am alive. Johnny Gosch.". Johnny's mother, Noreen, confirmed the handwriting to be Johnny's. In a restaurant bathroom, in Denver, Colorado, "Johnny Gosch was here", was found written in the bathroom in red nail polish.

Johnny's Visit

In 1997, one early morning, Noreen woke up to a knock at her door. She made her way to the door and asked who it was, a voice answered back, "Mom, it's me, Johnny. Can I come in?". She opened the door immediately and knew that he was Johnny. He had someone with him, but nothing was said about them and why they were there. This was the first time Noreen had seen her son in 15 years. Johnny didn't spend much time here, but did sit down with his mother and gave a brief explanation of everything that had been happening with him. He asked her for helped and told her he didn't want to continue living in fear anymore. Johnny left before the sun came out and was never seen again to this day.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
