So I'm sure that literally everyone knows John Legend's song "All of Me" from back in 2013. Well, I am sure from my title that you are all thinking I'm going to completely tear down the song and its contents. This is not the case. This is a completely lighthearted article about a parody of the famous song.

Its definitely been a long time since a friend and I wrote this parody and we had so much fun with it. It actually took us a lot longer than we thought it would to write the new lyrics for it. It is definitely a lot harder to write a parody than people would think. Not only do you have to try to make the new lyrics make sense together as a whole but, you also have to make sure the new lyrics match the music to the original song. I think it ended up taking us about a week of texting back and forth possible lyrics that we thought would work with the music. Originally we wanted to make a music video for it too but we never really got around to it because we were too busy with school and what not. Having wrote my own parody though you definitely have to give a lot of credit to those who write parodies for a living. It is a lot of work! Oh and by the way, we wrote it as if John Legend was talking about a stalker. But without further adieu here is our parody of All of Me by John Legend (my co-writer of this was Amber Glynn a few years ago):

"Oh the things I could do without your smart mouth, you keep coming in but I keep kicking you out, you've got my head spinning, no kidding, kill me now, what's going on in that messed up mind, I don't want you to be my bride, you are so ditsy, please someone pinch me, I hope I'm dreaming.

You're heads under water, and I'm breathing fine, you're crazy and out of your mind.

Cause all of me, hates all of you, hate all your quirks and weird obsessions, all your imperfect perfections, give your all to me, I'll give nothing to you, I'm your end and we're not beginning, even when you lose I'm winning, cause you give me all of you, and I give you none of me, no-oh.

How many times do I have to tell you, even when you're crying you're still ugly too, the world is beating you down, and I am too, you're my downfall, you're not my muse, my worst stalker, I can't get rid of you, you can't stop talking, my ears are bleeding, heres some duct tape for you.

Your heads under water, and I'm breathing fine, you're crazy and out of your mind.

Cause all of me, hates all of you, hate all your quirks and weird obsessions, all your imperfect perfections, give your all to me, I'll give nothing to you, I'm your end and we're not beginning, even when you lose I'm winning, cause you give me all of you, and I give you none of me.

I hate all of you, cards on the table, why are we playing cards? Running from you, I hope you trip and fall.

Cause all of me, hates all of you, hate all your quirks and weird obsessions, all your imperfect perfections, give your all to me, I'll give nothing to you, I'm your end and we're not beginning, even when you lose I'm winning, cause you give me all of you, and I give you none of me.

You give me all of you, and I give you none of me, no-oh"

Well there you go guys, a completely lighthearted parody of John Legend's All of Me. Hope you liked it.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
