Whenever you are looking for a roommate, you always want to know specific things about them. This can include characteristics like if they're clean, nice, or if you both have similar personalities. But most importantly, you want to know that you and your future roommate will be super compatible. If you want to strive towards an awesome roommate relationship, look no further than the friendship of Chandler Bing and Joey Tribbiani from Friends. These two are probably the closest roommates in the history of television, and future roommates should take note on why Joey and Chandler are ultimate roommate goals.

1. They both know how to have fun cost effectively and without too much preparation.

2. Personal space is (almost) always respected.

3. In times of crisis (like losing their best friend's baby), Joey and Chandler have essential decision-making skills.

4. Joey and Chandler both knew how to relax (even though spending two days straight sitting in recliners isn't the best idea).

5. They both had each other's backs, even on New Year's Eve.

6. They were capable of deep, intellectual conversations.

7. They know the right way to decorate their apartment.

Who knew a canoe would be a great piece of furniture?

8. They can laugh at anything, even when deciding what to eat.

9. They know how to enter any room with style.

Seriously, is there any other way to enter a room with that much style?

10. They could share any secret without any shame.

Fun fact: Chandler didn't cry when Bambi's mother died because "It was very sad when the guy stopped drawing the dear."

11. Even though Joey and Chandler could get into major fights, whether it's wearing all of Chandler's clothes....

"Oh my God! That is so not the opposite of stealing somebody's underpants!"

12. Or when Chandler accidentally slept with one of Joey's sisters (and forgot which one it was)....

13. They knew how to resolve conflict very easily, and remain best friends in the process.

14. And even though they both had imperfections, Joey and Chandler had one of the strongest roommate friendships ever.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
