The first one-on-one Democratic primary debate was held in Washington D.C. last night with no audience due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). This was the first time that Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders faced off without any others.
Although Biden and Sanders, the two remaining candidates, are far from the most diverse candidates the Democrats have seen — aside from Sanders being a Jewish candidate — both Biden and Sanders shook things up last night by talking about who they would appoint as their Vice President.
Biden made his commitment to select a woman as his running mate.

Bernie also committed to making sure his cabinet and his administration "look like America." With over half of the people in this country identifying as women, that would mean that Bernie would be giving women a strong place in his administration.

With that, we rounded up the top 10 women candidates that either of these men would be lucky to run with against Donald Trump and Mike Pence in the general election later this year.

Resume and qualifications: Two-term senator from Massachusetts, bankruptcy expert, helped conceive and create the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau during the Obama administration, ran for president in 2020.
