You're eating ramen and pop-tarts every day. You've already used your graduation money. You're working a minimum wage job, but it's not enough. We've all been there. It's the life of the young and broke, but it doesn't have to be your life. Picking up a side hustle can help you earn extra cash each month. Side hustles are normally easy jobs that allow you to set your own schedule and prices.

Pet sitter

Giphy

I have been a pet sitter through Rover.com for years now. Honestly, I don't even do it for the money. I get to walk precious pups and even have some of them stay the night with me while their parents are out of town. It's easy to sign up and so much. Plus, you can set your own prices and schedule.

Baby sitter

If you're not an animal person, try babysitting. Just like pet sitting, there are websites like Care.com that hire babysitters. A good thing about this is its pretty easy and parents are normally willing to pay a lot to have some nights away from their kids.

Tutor

You can offer tutoring services for basically any subject. Talk to different departments on campus to see if they are hiring tutors. If not, there are websites that hire virtual tutors. You can always kick it old school by putting up flyers on campus.

Driver

Nowadays, it's so easy to make money as a driver. Just sign up through companies like Lyft or Uber and drive away. Side note: You have to be 21 years old and have a reliable vehicle which meets the company's standards.

Makeup artist or hair stylist

If you're handy with a makeup brush or curling iron, this is perfect for you. I know plenty of girls who have made money off doing makeup and/or hair for other students. Post some of your work on your social media and offer appointments. Set your prices lower than salons to guarantee business.

Brand ambassador

Giphy

At my university, companies like Coca-Cola and Amazon are always looking for campus ambassadors. The job is pretty simple and pays a good bit. All you do is go to events on campus or set up tables around campus and give out information and samples of your companies products.

Freelance writing

Online magazines and newspapers, as well as some physical, often rely on freelance writers for articles. Most of the time, you are given a topic to write about and a word length. Salaries vary from article to article. Contact your local newspaper or research some magazine to find out if you could become their next writer.

Blogger

Giphy

If you want total creative freedom to write about whatever you want, start your own blog. Placing ads on your blog and writing sponsored product reviews will bring in revenue; however, you need to generate a fairly large audience before companies will sponsor you. It is 100% possible, but it takes time.

Product Tester

Product testing is an easy way to get some extra cash and free stuff. There are several companies who offer paid product testing jobs. Most can be done from the comfort of your own home. Once they send you the product, you test it and write a detailed review.

Create your own business

Giphy

Do you have a creative skill that could make you a profit? Start your own business! Make a social media for your small business where people can contact you. Post about your products or services, and apply to be a vendor at local places like maker's markets and craft fairs.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.
