We might not all listen to Jimmy Buffet but most of us know the name. If you ever hear that he is playing somewhere near you don't hesitate to go whether you buy tickets or not. Better yet you don't even have to drive there just get dropped off. Trust me it is worth it if you are ready for a day filled with tailgating fun. It is one of the biggest tailgates you will probably ever experience!

1. Tailgating

Some might say the best part of a concert is the tailgate and for the Jimmy Buffet tailgate that might just be true considering that some people just go for the tailgate (including me). People start setting up as early as 3am the morning of the concert; needless to say that the parking lots fill up pretty fast. The main lot is the lot to be in since that is where everything is happening. There is some live music, dancing, barbecues, drinks and games.

2. Great Music

It is like a giant dance party. Everyone is playing great music and dancing around. Small bands set up their stages or play under tents as well giving the crowd a taste of live music before the actual concert.

3. Everyone Goes All Out

People get there real early to set up because they are going all out. They empty their liquor cabinets and their mini fridges bringing tons of bottles that they set up under their tents. They put together tiki bars, kiddy pools, games, and stimulations. Some people fill the beds of their trucks with sand and stick beach items in it and others fill there’s with water to make a little pool to chill in. You will find some people walking around in coconut bras and hula skirts with parrots (real or fake) that is for sure!

4. Surfboard Stimulation

Someone brings a huge blow up surfboard stimulation. If you go to the Jimmy Buffet tailgate and don't do this did you really go? This was one of the best parts of the tailgate; you can hop up there alone or with a friend and try to stay on as the guy makes the surfboard rock faster! It is a ton of fun!

5. Foam Party

I do not know who thought of the great idea of having a foam party at a tailgate but whoever did that person is a genius. This was my first foam party and it was a ton of fun! Every hour they did it so if you missed it you could catch the next one. Especially on a hot day it was a nice way to cool down for a bit.

6. It Is A Giant Beach Themed Party

What is better than a beach themed party on the beach? Nothing... You will find people in bathing suits, Hawaiian shirts, coconut bras, and hula skirts. There will be all sorts of pool floats floating around, people with lays and beads, palm trees and sand, and parrots cannot forget the parrots real or fake you will spot those. Basically you will see anything that has to do with the beach!!! Who wouldn't love that?

Catch the next Jimmy Buffet tailgate because you won't want to miss it!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
