Jim and Pam Halpert. Arguably the best TV couple in the history of TV couples. Maybe not even arguably.
For years Jim hopelessly trudged his way through the friend zone, even confessing his love for the girl he knew he could not be with. When it seemed they weren't going to end up together, co-worker Kevin Malone famously said, "PB&J... Pam Beesly and Jim. What a waste."
But finally they became the couple everyone was anxiously on the edge of their seats waiting for them to become. And their relationship henceforth was television perfection. Mostly because they are what a real couple can be.
It gets tiring watching romance portrayed over and over again as dreamy, peachy, cheesy beach scenes and endlessly telling each other how in love they both are. It's cute and it's nice to think about, but completely unrealistic. Pam and Jim are like nothing out of a Nicholas Sparks book, nothing out of a soap opera. They're paper salesmen in Scranton, Penn. And they are, oddly enough, the perfect couple.
1. They're happily dorky together.
2. They're on the same brain wave.
3. They make fun of each other to no end and it's so stinkin' cute.
4. They're the best friends each other could ever ask for.
5. They're realistically romantic.
6. Their life is not perfect.
7. But they are perfect.
Perfect.
Perfect.
