Jesus Didn't Start Christianity, Constantine Did

Christianity is the religion of the Roman Empire, Not of Jesus Christ and His Apostles.

Jesus Didn't Start Christianity, Constantine Did
Taylor Martial

The Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth who died for the sins of the world and rose on the third day didn't start the religion of Christianity. There. I said it. But before you stop reading this article out of pride, arrogance, ignorance, and the lack of historical knowledge, allow me to elaborate. If an individual were to ask a Christian what is their religion, they would most likely say "Christianity." But where in the Holy Bible did Jesus Christ ever say that he started a religion called "Christianity?" Many historians claim that Jesus started this religion, but that's a false accusation upon the Son of God, because Jesus Christ didn't establish a religion that contradicts his word.

Jesus Christ, who came out of the tribe of Judah came unto the children of Israel to be the final sacrifice and atonement for all sins ever committed; but Israel rejected Jesus and didn't accept him as their Messiah; even though he fulfilled all of the prophesies that were prophesied about him all through-out the Old Testament. However, the result of Israel's rejection towards the Lord Jesus was that they crucified him; but Jesus Christ inevitably rose on the third day and ascended unto the father. However, even though there was enough proof in the pudding that Jesus Christ was their almighty God manifested in the flesh to save them from their sins, they still rejected Jesus Christ. Not only was his physical presence rejected, but also the message of the Gospel was also rejected when Jesus ascended into heaven. Ultimately, the Apostles in whom Jesus sent out to preach the gospel preached the message of the cross to the Jews but they still rejected the message; which made them stone the Apostles and even put some in prison. This is what allowed the Apostles to offer the message of the cross to the Gentiles, and many of them received it gladly! However, do NOT think that I'm attempting to state that only the children of Israel were meant to be saved because that's NOT the truth. The Children of Israel's heart were intentionally hardened so the gospel could be preached unto the Gentiles. Before the foundation of the earth God knew that his salvation plan was for the Jew, Gentile, Greek, and anybody who desired to be Born-Again, and set free from their sins!

The Gospel and doctrine that Jesus left with his Apostles was never called "Christianity," and the foundational beliefs of today's modern Christianity doesn't even align with Biblical beliefs. Jesus never came to start a new religion, but rather he came to fulfill the law of Moses so we could have an atonement and the blood to cover our sins. Matthew 5:17 states "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

So the real question is, what were the Apostles and the early Christian's faith or some would say "religion" called? The name of the faith that the early Christian's went by can be seen in Jude 1:20 which stated "But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith." The only faith and religion that Christian's should be classifying themselves under is Holiness, and that's because it's written in 1 Peter 1:6 stating "Since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy." All Born-Again believers should be following Holiness, not man-made religions that will lead to Hell. Holiness is a lifestyle that demands obedience, sacrifice, and endurance to please the Lord Jesus Christ. God never claimed the religion of "Christianity" or "Mormonism" or "Baptist" or any religion under the sun, but Holiness alone!

Since Jesus didn't create Christianity, where did Christianity originate from and who created it? The truth is that it came from the Roman Empire. In 312 AD, the emperor of Rome, which was Constantine made the most controversial and impactful decision. Emperor Constantine converted his empire from Paganism to his new religion called "Christianity." And under that umbrella was the Roman Catholic Church. Constantine called his belief "Christianity," but Jesus and his Apostles never called their faith that, and the reason is because Constantine's religion had absolutely nothing to do with what Jesus' taught. Constantine's Christianity was controversial from the original beliefs and doctrines of the Apostles because it went against everything they stood for and died for.

Ancient Christianity was based off of the utilization of minimal scriptures, and a bunch of Paganism! This religion that Constantine created that's still being practiced today not only by Catholics, but by many Protestants is actually astonishing! The religion of Christianity believes in a Trinity, (which is what they say to be One God existing in three mini-gods at the same time, which comes from the Pagan belief of the Mother god, son of god, and father god.) Constantine's "Christianity" and "Catholic" doctrine was 100% demonic and not of God! The idolatry and Paganism incorporated within their beliefs shifted their beliefs from worshiping Jesus as the only true God, to worshiping Mary, their other two members of their Trinity, and the saints.

It wasn't only the Catholic Church who were corrupt, but everyone included in the new religions that were formed from Christianity that came from the Protestant Reformation known as "denominations." These new denominations that were formed are all off-shoots of the Catholic church. Many different beliefs, doctrines, and divisions were formed from the Protestant Reformation, and believe it or not, this reformation wasn't of God. God is not a God of confusion, and didn't intend for there to be many different religions or denominations that claim they're all "Christian," but deny him in their doctrinal beliefs.

Truthfully, the religion of "Christianity" in which Constantine founded wasn't built on the true teachings of Jesus Christ, and neither were the denominations that came out of it. The only true teaching and religion is Holiness and within holiness one MUST be following and abiding in the Apostles teachings in which includes the belief in One God(Not a trinity), Repentance, Baptism in the Name of Jesus, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and most importantly living a life of Holiness and obedience to God.

To conclude, the only doctrine in which man can be saved is through the true teachings of the Apostles, not this man-made trash! Continuing in the Apostles Faith, and in the true religion of Holiness contains no loss of inheritance! If anyone who's reading this has repented of their sins, been baptized in the Name of Jesus, and received the spirit of Christ, the inheritance of the kingdom of God is ours; because we stayed in the true doctrine that many false prophets have tried to corrupt and take us away from, through vain teachings of a trinity and many other false beliefs that contradict the Bible and are damnable. The religion of Christianity has beliefs that are Anti-Bible that don't adhere to Biblical teachings, and if one rejects these false teachings that is taught they are labeled as not being a part of Christianity. But I'm here to say I'm proud to be a bold advocate for the doctrine preached by the Apostles and the way in which they followed which was holiness. As the Bible says in Matthew 7:22-23 "On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
