Singer Jennifer Hudson has given back to schools in her home state of Chicago. This is something that she does every year as part of Hatch Day
Her and her sister handed out school supplies last week as part of the Julian D. Kind Foundation; a charity organization created in memory of Hudson's nephew who was murdered in 2008 along with her mother and brother.
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jennifer and her sister Julia, opened up about Julian and the yearly charity event. She also talked about her role in Hairspray Live coming December 7, on NBC.
Hudson is a Grammy Award-winning artist, Academy Award-winning actress and she also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013.
