If you have a Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat, you've probably seen or heard of Alexis Ren and Jay Alvarrez. Alexis Ren and Jay Alvarez are the dream couple that have taken over not only social media, but the real world, in the past two years. Jay and Alexis are both successful models who travel the world together. The content these two create is just so creative, simple and inspiring. Alexis has almost 6 million Instagram followers, and Jay has almost 4.4 million. Their content gets them a lot of attention, good and bad. Recently, they have gotten a ton of criticism for displaying an "unrealistic" lifestyle and making people feel bad about themselves. While their lives may seem too unrealistic, or annoyingly perfect, it is the life that they worked for. Let's understand a little more about their lives from the beginning.

Alexis Ren, whose real name is Alexis René Glabach, was born in Santa Monica, CA in 1996. Alexis has four siblings, three sisters and one brother. Alexis' father, Gaylord Frank, is a lawyer, but she says that she isn't very close to him. Alexis' mom, Cynthia, was a health nutritionist, but she unfortunately passed away in 2014. Alexis is a California native, and lived a mostly normal life before she was discovered in a Brandy Melville store at the age of 13. Alexis' modeling career took off after she modeled for Brandy Melville. By 2014 she had modeled for Calvin Klein, Hurley, Penta Water, C-heads and countless other brands and magazines.

Jay Alvarrez was born in Oahu, Hawaii in 1995. Jay made his start in photography, and became a social media personality quite easily. Jay is also a model, so yes, they are a dreamy couple. Not much is known about Jay's parents, only that his mother passed away. Jay models, produces music, travels the world and makes amazing content for his 4 million followers. Jay and Alexis have recently started making ads for brand like Hyundai and Snapchat.

Neither Jay or Alexis have a formal college education, but they do know more about happiness than most people who have college degrees.

Together, Alexis Ren and Jay Alvarrez have become the envy of every person under the age of 30 in the social world. They take exotic vacations around the world while working and showcase their passion for each other every step of the way. Without parents in the picture, these two don't have anybody to stop them from doing whatever they want. Both of their modeling agencies urged them to keep their relationship off of social media, but they didn't listen, and it was the best choice ever.

They told Cosmopolitan about their first date recently, and it was the cutest. Read it all here. Jay took Alexis to Laguna Beach, and took one of their first pictures together in the water. From there, the rest is history. Some of their pictures and videos are a bit racy, but they post whatever makes them happy. Instead of hating your life because you aren't them, let's learn a couple things from these famous jet setters.

Recently, there has been confusion on whether or not Jay and Alexis broke up, because they seemed distant on social media. It is still unclear on if they have broken up or not. Regardless, this dream couple really did create a dream world. I will always worship Jay and Alexis.

College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
