SO MANY SPOILERS, STOP READING NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT IT RUINED.
Okay, so those of you who are a part of faithful #BachNation should have watched by now. But here's a quick recap: last Monday on The Bachelorette, Becca sent home Jason during their one on one date, but before they made it to the fantasy suite. They were both plenty upset, and he actually ended up coming back later in the episode to talk things out with Becca. Here's the kicker: he doesn't try to win her back.
Jason was the sleeper of the season.
So every season there's a sleeper, but who it will be is always a shock. Basically, they're cute and get along with the Bachelor or Bachelorette to start but are quiet, no one thinks too much of them then boom, they swoop in and win over every viewers' heart. Some may consider this a bad thing - and sometimes it is because they don't have as strong of a relationship when it comes to the end - but it's always someone who the audience ends up loving. Jason was the sleeper, and I was hoping he would be from day one.
He's from Western New York.
Okay, I'm completely biased on this because I'm engaged to someone from Western New York but let me tell you something about the guys from this part of the world - they're amazing. They are considerate, sweet, faithful, hardworking, family-oriented, and overall just fun to hang around with. There's something about the way they talk too that makes them so down to Earth and easy to be around.
He's a Buffalo sports fan.
Some might not understand this one, but let me lay it out for you. If you're a Sabres or Bills fan, you are so used to losing, but are still a diehard, and that to me screams loyalty. Hello? The Bills went to the Superbowl four times and never won. You've got to be a dedicated person to endure that pain and still root for them 20 years later. Plain and simple, if you're a Buffalo sports fan, you might expect some disappointment but you're faithful and loyal to the things you love and you're willing to endure the bad days to get to the happy ones. Brownie points right there for that.
He wasn't afraid to lay it all out here.
Even though he wasn't much for talking about his feelings, he still talked about them because Becca needed to hear it. That says a lot. He's willing to lay it all out there, especially when he knows the girl in his life needs it. That's something that not a lot of guys are willing to do.
He's not too intense.
There are some guys who (as Miley said best) come in like a wrecking ball and they go all in with their feelings to the point where it comes off as a little too much. Although that is something that some girls like, that tends to scare most people away. He's willing to admit his feelings and talk about his feelings when he gets there, but not in a way that's too much.
When he came back, it was for closure.
When he did come back, he didn't do it to grovel or beg to get back on the show. He didn't come back to argue or make Becca seem like the bad guy. He came back to get closure and to give her a gift and thank her for the journey. He felt things ended too abruptly and needed to let her know that she was special to him and he loved her and there was no one else he wanted to go through the journey with. His perfection shined through - yet again!
So, #BachNation, let's hope the producers of the show give the next round of ladies the man who had some killer poise and grace throughout this season. He stayed above and away from any drama and actually turned out an even better guy in the end than people even thought he was through the process.
#JasonForBachelor - let's get that trending, shall we?
