Traveling in a country where I don't know the language sounds terrifying to me.
Sometimes I just don't understand how people do it.
How do they get by without the ability to communicate? Even though I want to travel the world, I would always find it helpful to know some phrases in the language of the country I'm traveling in.
Here, I have racked my brain of the Japanese and Korean I learned, and compiled a list of phrases that I think would be useful when traveling. Even if you're not planning to take a trip to Japan or South Korea, it's always fun to learn words in other languages!
The left hand side contains each phrase in its original script, the middle (in bold) is the English romanization (for pronunciation), and on the right is the English translation.
