Covergirl recently did something huge. They had their first ever Coverboy! When I found out, I was shocked. This goes against every social norm. Covergirl, a very popular makeup brand, has been around for forever. If any of you have seen America's Next Top Model, one of the ending prizes is a photoshoot with Covergirl and the filming of a Covergirl commercial. There has never ever been a coverboy, ever. This is absolutely amazing and props to Covergirl for being one of the first makeup brands to ever do this.

James Charles started out as just an average high schooler from New York and it's crazy and absolutely amazing to see how his life basically changed over night. After his Covergirl shoot, his career has taken off. He has his own Youtube channel where he does several makeup looks and also does collaborations with several Youtube stars such as rclbeauty101 and Joey Graceffa.

When it comes to men wearing makeup, it can be very controversial. Luckily, today's society is a lot more accepting. There are several men who wear makeup on a daily basis and rock it better than I ever could. Now if this were something that happened a few years earlier, society may not have been so accepting. I'm not saying that everyone agrees with the idea of men wearing makeup, but then again not everyone will agree on everything.

I asked several people their opinion on men wearing makeup and every single response I received was, "Why not?" and "Everyone is free to express themselves", which I couldn't agree more on. Makeup is a work of art. Many people use it as self expression and even because they just enjoy doing and wearing makeup. No one should be bashed or judged on what they like. You have icons such as Jeffree Star and Manny Mua who have worn makeup for as long as I can remember and they don't care what people think of them. I envy people like that, James Charles in particular.

High School can be a rough time for many people. The bullying, the judgement that young boys and girls receive is disgusting and appalling. While watching James Charles video with Joey Graceffa, he mentioned that the people he goes to school with, even the boys, are very accepting. That is very rare which is sad. I believe that everyone has the right to express themselves in whatever way that may be, which is why James Charles is a huge inspiration to so many people.

He recently hit one million followers on Instagram. That is ground breaking. One night he was just your average teen and now he is a star. This just goes to show that if you have a dream, don't give up because the end results will be so incredibly worth it. He never gave up despite any obstacles that may have gotten in his way.

I am so proud of James Charles and how far he has come. I can't wait to see what else he achieves in the future. I just want to take this time to say thank you to him.

Thank you for pursuing a career in what you love and not giving up. Thank you for being an amazing role model for men and women around the world. You did it. You are a true legacy.

I will link his Covergirl commercial down below. You rock James Charles, and thanks again!

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone does not try to help their self before asking others. How can someone else be expected to help you if you do not first do that yourself? I'm all about helping those that need it when the time comes, however whenever someone does not even attempt to help him or herself first then that becomes a huge problem. As we all have learned, people tend to take advantage of us in one way or another. I am sure we all read this short story when we were younger and it follows that same principle:

Finals week is so rude! So, there's no one better to explain it than the Kardashians themselves!

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.
