He's the coolest of the coolest. He's the smoothest of the smoothest. He's the crudest and the rudest of the stupid kids. Jaden Smith, son of actors Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, created his own clothing line and basically his own way of life called MSFTSrep (Misfits) in 2013. But before Jaden Smith began the MSFTS, he starred in "The Karate Kid" remake and in "After Earth." He definitely made a name for himself after starring in those movies, however his biggest role debut (his first role ever) and my personal favorite was in "The Pursuit of Happyness" with his father Will Smith, playing as father and son. Jaden Smith won MTV's Best Breakthrough Performance award and PFCS Best Young Actor award for his performance in "The Pursuit of Happyness."
Cause the youth is taking over. Jaden Smith has been very vocal about his belief that everyone is an individual and individuality is golden. His passion towards everyone just finding and being themselves is truly inspiring and a very important message for young people. He even makes a point to mention that it is okay to not know yourself right away and to idolize celebrities and follow their personal style during your journey in finding your own.
Never feeling tied down by gender norms, Jaden Smith puts together the most interesting and original outfits. Some people may call him brave for wearing a skirt, but Jaden Smith seems to be extremely self aware and definitely knows who he is and what he likes to wear and how he likes to talk and act without even considering gender norms. He is truly and constantly being himself. He starred in Luis Vuitton's latest campaign and wore skirts beautifully. What's really interesting to me is that his parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith named their children Jaden and Willow in a sort of gender-bending way. Their daughter's name, Willow, is a variation of Will and their son's name, Jaden, is a variation of Jada. That's pretty neat.
Jaden Smith is 17 years old and is the coolest. A lot of people tend to make fun of Jaden Smith's tweets, but I love the new perspective you get from reading his tweets (even if I don't always understand them). I personally really appreciate his different outlook about things, such as newborn babies.
I feel as if Jaden Smith's music is very much under-appreciated, at least in my friend groups no one seems to have listened to his music, which is unfortunate. If you haven't listened to Jaden Smith's music, then get on it. You will not regret it. He was only 14 when he made "The Coolest" (my favorite song of his) and his flow was, to quote, "so up-ductable." His song "Scarface" is short but sweet. Some lyrics include "Why did you lie to me? Why did you, Bruce Lee? John F. Kennedy, (who)?" Another one of his songs that is on repeat whenever I'm in the car is "Fast," which goes by too fast actually, the song is only one minute and 15 seconds long, but every second of it is gold.
Let us not forget that Jaden Smith wore an all white Batman costume to the Kardashian/West wedding. Pure artistry. Imagine being in the presence of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian and still being the most interesting part of the function. If you don't desperately want to be Jaden Smith after learning about this, then you need to reevaluate your personal idolization of celebrities.
