I've Seen Coco

Free time comes at a heavy cost. While you were swiping this and that way I was app-less, and determined to provide you with something you can really fall in love with. This is "I've Seen Coco," parody lyrics about a classic Pixar picture show called Coco in the style of "I've Seen Footage" by Death Grips. I harvested the lyrics from genius.com. Although written in 2018, this needs to arrive on the internet tonight so a maximum of 7 people can see it. I stay niche. Follow along as best as you can, you will get lost.

[Intro]

Coco

It's bout a kid

Named Miguel

Coco's sweet

Pixar's

Coco

Not the best I've seen

But it's neat

Dante's sweet

I've seen Coco

[Verse 1]

Guess what

Hey y'all

Ernesto

Killed by bell

This boy Miguel believes

He's destined to

Play the guitar

But his family, makes shoes

Great-great-grandma scared of tunes

Wonder why he don't leave his house

Until a talent show

One night

Creeping up softly

To Ernesto's

To grab a guitar but Miguel strums it and he

Gets cursed

(Boy dead, boy dead)

Tragic story, me cry

I've seen Coco, I enjoyed it

I've seen Coco

[Hook]

I've seen Coco, I enjoyed it, I've seen Coco, I enjoyed it,

I've seen Coco, I enjoyed it, I've seen Coco, I enjoyed it

I've seen Coco, I enjoyed it, I've seen Coco, I enjoyed it

I've seen Coco, I enjoyed it, I've seen Coco, I enjoyed it

[Verse 2]

Everybody's yelling:

"Where ya think Miguel went?" But he's dead now

Sad or mad, his family's that

On this dead night

To keep his life,

To get back home, no stay,

A blessing from his great-great-grandma, who hates music, like I told you

"No guitar,"

"No strumming it,"

(Miguel accepts it) Miguel returns home, breaks his promise

He can't abide cuz he's way too passionate

I've seen it, I mean it

I repeat it: "Coco's swell"

Pretty soon I think

Movie night wishlist

Y'all gotta see this film

[Bridge 1]

Coco

It's bout a kid

Named Miguel

Coco's sweet

Pixar's

Coco

Not the best I've seen

But it's neat

Dante's sweet

I've seen Coco

[Verse 3]

Colorful film with a soundtrack

Made for kids with the message of:

Glory's wrong and family's strong, we honor them even after their dead now

Coco won an Oscar? Think so

Remind me, who won the

Oscar for, animation

I've seen Coco, I enjoyed it

Saw a few clips before I saw the flick, looked like a boy with no skin

I remember thinking "this must be good if it's got skeletons"

I'm glad that I saw Coco, I'm glad it did so well

Good music, great story

It's still on Netflix now

[Bridge 2]

I've been writing this for two full hours

I wouldn't exactly call that willpower

Crazy shit, Crazy shit (repeated)

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
