Being home for winter break after the first semester of college sounds absolutely amazing - until the slight boredom sets in. Naturally, I looked to Netflix to stimulate my mind and find some entertainment, and I wasn't disappointed.

I had never been interested in watching Gilmore Girls (especially because for the past five years I had mistaken it for Golden Girls with Betty White), but seeing news about the revival series Netflix produced made me interested and so, on a whim, I hit play.

So far I've binged two seasons in five days and I'm proud to say that I'm still going strong. I want to convince as many people as possible to give Gilmore Girls a try because never did I think I would like it. The witty humor, dated puns, fast delivery, and serious issues give the show its charm and make it so relatable. Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, the dynamic mother-daughter duo, set the tone of the show and bring life to the small town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. Just watching the first episode will get you hooked and wanting more.

Here are some quotes to get you started:

1. "I can be flexible. As long as everything is exactly the way I want it, I can be totally flexible." - Lorelai Gilmore.

Relatable.

2. "How come you're not excited about life?"

"I find nothing exciting before 11:00."

Even more relatable. I'm barely awake by the time the clock strikes 11.

And, my personal favorite:

3. "I just got hit by a deer!" - Rory Gilmore.

I'll let you figure this one out for yourself.

So PLEASE, when choosing your next show make Gilmore Girls a starring option. You won't regret it.
