It's Time To Dump Trump (For Our Little Girls)

Sometimes, breaking up isn't hard to do.

This election cycle has been a wild ride so far, and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. Many people feel that they have run out of options, stuck between a rock and a hard place. With their favorite candidates long gone, this leads some to the question “Should I just vote for Donald Trump”? Policies and giant walls aside for a moment, have we ever stopped to think what having Donald Trump as the leader of our nation would mean for our little girls? Everyone has a young girl in their lives that they care about. Whether it’s a daughter, niece, sister, granddaughter, cousin, or another relation, everybody has at least one little girl in their life that they want to grow up in a world that will treasure and respect them just as much as you do. So, could that world exist under President Trump? Let’s take a look at what Donald Trump has to say about women in through eleven of his own quotes

"I cherish women. I want to help women. I'm going to do things for women that no other candidate would be able to do . . ."

Well, that's good, right? He cherishes women, so maybe he isn't as bad as we thought.

"Beauty and elegance, whether in a woman, a building, or a work of art, is not just superficial or something pretty to see."

Hmm . . . he seems to be calling women objects. Maybe it was just a fluke or a poor choice of words though. He couldn't really mean that.

Wait a second. Did he just say men can't be around women without sexually assaulting them? I guess we're going to have to teach our little girls that they need to avoid boys altogether, or they can just expect to be assaulted.

"You know, it doesn't really matter what [the media] write as long as you've got a young and beautiful piece of ass."

So women aren't just objects, they're objects whose sole purpose in life is to please men. That's what we should really be teaching our little girls: how to be good ornaments. None of that stuff we do now like teaching them that they can be astronauts, doctors, teachers, or whatever they want.

"Women have one of the great acts of all time. The smart ones act very feminine and needy, but inside they are real killers. The person who came up with the expression 'the weaker sex' was either very naive or had to be kidding. I have seen women manipulate men with just a twitch of their eye-or perhaps another body part"

So, women aren't ALWAYS objects. Sometimes they're manipulators instead. The only way women can get things is through men, and they'll do anything *wink* to get what they want. Besides being crude, he also asserts that women can't be trusted because they are ruthless and manipulative. What a great lesson to teach our daughters.

"Heidi Klum. Sadly, she's no longer a 10."

Donald Trump was kind enough to grace Heidi Klum with his opinion of her looks (because that's all that matters about women, after all). Maybe when he's president he can come to your kids' schools and rate all the third graders. That would be a great time.

Also, can we talk about how wrong he is?

JUST LOOK AT HER. Anyways, moving on.

"A person who is flat-chested is very hard to be a 10."

Glad to know a little bit more about how his ranking system works. I wonder if women can get more points if they don't speak?

Women: "You have to treat 'em like shit."

I think this sums up his views on women in general. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"Look at that face. Would anyone vote for that?"

He said this about one of his Republican opponents. I mean, clearly the only reason we would vote a woman into office is because of her looks. We wouldn't want a smart, dependable woman in office or anything. We're just looking for a pretty face for our daughters to look up to.

"Can you imagine that, the face of our next president? I mean, she's a woman, and I'm not supposed to say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are you serious?"

Donald Trump said this of his fellow presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton. All I have to say is, if we're choosing our next president based on looks, somebody is in trouble, and it isn't Hillary.

"I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her."

My personal favorite. I can't make this stuff up, guys.

After seeing just a small look at how Donald Trump sees women, I hope you'll think twice before choosing a candidate in this election. Think of your daughter, or your niece, or even the little girl that lives down the street. Is this the kind of person you want in charge of the world she'll grow up in? It's time for America to dump Trump, for the sake of our little girls.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
