Have you ever walked outside while it's snowing? Everything seems so quiet and peaceful. It's like in the moment, nothing matters. No deadlines, bills, drama, anything. It's almost like a real life pause button.
Now, I don't start school for at least another week and two days. I've been out for a month or more, and I'm not sure when I go back if I'll remember how to school. As my last semester quickly approaches, and I receive my associates and move on to continue my bachelors. The next couple of months are going to fly by and be as busy as ever.
We all somewhere we can go to when life gets busy, and we just need a moment to relax. Now, obviously it doesn't snow on a daily basis in Arkansas. I have other things I do to take time to relax, but when it snows. I find myself outside staring at it. I take time to thank God for the snow, for nature, for allowing me to live in this moment. Too often we don't take time to appreciate what we have. Instead we worry about what we don't have, when the next deadline is, what we have to get done before the sun sets on another day.
I'm not one to make resolutions, but this list pretty much summed up what I want to try to achieve in 2017. Something else though, and something I encourage you to do too, is take a moment everyday or every couple of days. Get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, find a peaceful place, whether it's a snowy scene like this above, a quiet coffee shop in town, or just a casual drive around with some music. Take the time to get away and just appreciated life. Thank God for it. Don't let life drag you down, relax.
