Encouragement to women seeking peace in the struggle everyday life can be

3 Bible Verse To Help You Find Strength

In 2017, it isn’t hard to become overwhelmed with the things women can and cannot do. Your brain is filled with the "right" ways to dress, fit in, and act to be successful in a fallen world. However, to those of you who do not believe we live in a fallen world, I challenge you to simply think of the pain and suffering that is inevitable in society today.

There will always be those days that just feel like everything is crashing down right on you. Like when you just can’t do things right and you haven’t gotten enough sleep in weeks when you can’t seem to mend that broken relationship or forgive that one person, or when you just don’t have enough hours in the day and your to-do list is insanely long. Unfortunately, there are few people who can drop these seemingly important tasks that life throws at them for the peace and quiet found in Jesus Christ.

So, what are you supposed to do when life throws a curve ball and you don’t know what to do?

You Pray

Wow, simple, right?

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

Lord I am tired. I am trying to do much more than I alone am capable of, I need rest!

“Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:29-30

God, you have promised that if I come to you, you will show me how to rest through you and your peace. Allow me to find you in the chaos that my life has become.

“For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will (always) help you” Isaiah 41:13

No matter the pain and suffering, no matter the overwhelmingness in life, God will always be there to guide you. You just have to listen for him.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
