"On October 3rd, he asked me what day it was...It's October 3rd."

Those who know and appreciate the iconic 2004 chick flick, Mean Girls, understand the significance of October 3rd. If you're a true Mean Girls fan, here are some great ways to celebrate the day-- or heck, make it the whole week-- that Aaron Samuels first spoke to Cady Heron in calculus class.

1. Watch the movie in its entirety.

If you're like me, you'll be able to quote every single line without a problem. Watch it with friends, but warn them that you'll probably be imitating the each of the characters throughout the whole movie. It truly never gets old.

2. Make some fun "unalcoholic" drinks.

Just like Regina's mom! "Is there alcohol in this? Of course not honey, what kind of mom do you think I am?"

3. Send some candy grams to your friends.

"Four for you Glen Coco, you go Glen Coco! Aaannnnddd none for Gretchen Weiners, bye!" That'll be sure to make them as jealous as Brutus was of Caesar.

4. Carb load.

Maybe pick up some Kalteen bars? Or maybe pay a visit to Karen's personal favorite, Taco Bell?

5. Learn the Jingle Bell Rock dance.

I mean, Regina got hit by the bus and has a spinal injury, so someone's going to have to fill in for her next time around.

6. Practice some calculus.

All you've got to know is that the limit does not exist, though.

7. And finally, please WEAR PINK.

Because we all know that if not, you can't sit with us.

Though a Mean Girls fan might practice these habits only once a year on the beloved October 3rd, true Mean Girls fans are in pink every Wednesday for the rest of their life.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
