Let's talk about the one thing that little kids hate, but adults love... Naps! Okay, so as a kid I hated naps like with a passion, all the time in school when nap time would come around I would just lay there and not sleep. I couldn't even nap when I was sick like I had to be really sick in order for me to sleep. Long story short I hated naps as a child, alright so moving on as a teenager I was not a big fan of naps either I was more of a let's lie in bed in look at the phone, but not really fall asleep. Man though naps didn't come important to me until I hit college. Let me tell you naps are my best friend in college. Literally, I don't understand how I didn't like taking naps when I was a child. Naps are like a gift, I can literally take a twenty-minute nap before class and be refreshed and ready to go. I have heard similar things from the people in my classes like naps are gold. I think my roommate takes at least once a day. As children, we got to nap time kicking and screaming, but as an adult, nap becomes something that is worth more than money. ( okay so maybe more is more important, but naps rank right below money). On that note, I think I am going to take a nap right now.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

mu bucket list

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…
