Halloween movie recommendations of 2020

Triangle

It is a perfect choice if you want to watch something complex and mind-twisting. You might not completely understand the plot after watching it for the first time. Actually, you will be like "what the heck did I just watched?" The movie is about a mysterious voyage where the main character discovers ghastly clues about herself and the people around her. The theme of the movie is broad and it will leave you thinking about a lot of things when finish.

Parasite

(2020 Oscar Best Picture Nominee) Same as Triangle, Parasite is a movie that worth watching many times. The main theme of the movie is about the gap between the rich and the poor. You can call it a comedy in the beginning, but the messages it passes to you at the end might give you chills. The story of Parasite is fictional, but it portraits the unseen reality. Besides that, the picture of Parasite is very unique. What made the movie outstanding is how the director used different scenes, buildings, and objects to illustrate the difference between the rich and poor.

The Shinning

The classic horror movie. Most of the people don't find the movie as scary as they expected. I personally think it is because the plot of the movie is very complex so it requires the audience to pick up details and stand from the character's point of view to feel different emotions. It is a legend.

Doctor Sleep

The one after The Shinning. Compare with the previous one, I think Doctor Sleep emphasizes more on telling the story. It will be more fun if you watched The Shinning beforehand.

Hush

A deaf writer trying to escape from a killer in the middle of the forest. It is definitely a good choice if you want to watch something non-bloody.

Train to Busan

I guess many of you have heard of this. A zombie virus breaks out in South Korean and a train full of people is heading to Busan… what should they do? It is about running from zombies and learning about human nature.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

Obsessive Thoughts Keep My Brain Stuck On A Loop And Me Stuck On My Couch

Sometimes my brain just starts turning on an idea and it doesn't want to stop.

I don't know if it is related to my anxiety, perfectionism or depression. I don't know why it happens. It's frustrating, it's painful and it stops me from functioning.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.
