It's Bachelor Time!

A recap of all the girls who got a rose on episode 1

It's Bachelor Time!

It’s 2017 and I feel like at this point most of the country watches ABC Bachelor and Bachelorette. The show consists of either one bachelor or one bachelorette and a starting average of 30 contestants competing for love. I’ll admit I was hesitant to start watching the series. I thought it was messed up that one person was openly dating 30 other people and by the end of the season 2 people would be engaged. It’s just not realistic! That being said, here I am a year later writing about this season's lineup of the show. When I started watching Joelle Fletchers season (still can't believe she didn’t choose Chase) on the Bachelorette last year I was constantly confused on who was who, so I decided for this season of the Bachelor I would make a summary of all of the contestants after week 1.

Bachelor: Nick Viall

I think most of America was shocked by the news that Nick was going to be the next bachelor. It’s Nick's fourth time appearing on the series ( Bachelorette twice and once on Bachelor in Paradise).

Alexis:

Age: 23 From: New Jersey

Better known as Dolphin girl, Alexis showed up on the first night dressed as a shark, making dolphin noises and even went swimming! She is definitely going to make the show interesting and I hope they show the couple swimming with dolphins on some tropical island at some point.

Astrid:

Age: 26 From: Florida

Astrid left Nick confused at first by only speaking to him in German, it was a bit weird but it worked.

Brittany

Age: 26 From: California

Brittany being a traveling nurse, introduced herself by examining Nicks back. She also has the exact same name as Jordan Rodgers (winner from the last season of The Bachelorette) ex-girlfriend but turns out there are two Brittany Farrar's.

Christen

Age: 25 From: Oklahoma

After stepping out of the limo she did a little dance with a paper fan and explained how she has been watching Nick this whole time on all of the seasons (a little creepy).

Corinne

Age: 24 From: Florida

Well, it’s safe to say Corinne is VERY competitive, after all, she did take Nick away from conversations with other women just so she could get the first kiss of the season.

Danielle L.

Age: 27 From California

She was the first girl to meet Nick and is a successful small business owner.

Danielle M.

Age: 31 From: Tennessee

She brought Nick homemade maple syrup claiming that she loves to make homemade gifts. She also is a NICU nurse and Nick asked if that meant she worked in a hospital (oh boy).

Dominque:

Age: 25 From: California

Dominique and Nick bonded over excitement.

Elizabeth (Liz)

Age: 29 From: Nevada

Um, what isn’t there to say about Nick and Liz? Probably for the first time in Bachelor history, one of the contestants knew the bachelor before the first night. Strangely enough, these two met on the dance floor at a past bachelors wedding. Looks like Corinne wasn’t actually the first kiss!

Elizabeth

Age: 24 From: Texas

She wore a white dress on the first night so is she hinting at something…?

Hailey:

Age: 23 From: Canada

She just really didn’t want to lose to “dolphin girl.”

Jaimi

Age:28 From: Louisiana

Jaimi surprised everyone by hiding her nose ring at first.

Jasmine G.

Age: 29 From:California

She spent most of the night panicking that she wasn’t having enough time with Nick as other girls.

Josephine

Age: 24 From: California

Josephine brings a book with a raw hot dog in it to split between her and Nick.

Kristina

Age: 24 From: Kentucky

She just seems like a normal human being and frankly there aren't many ordinary girls on this season.

Lacey:

Age: 25 From: NY

Lacey probably stood out the most at first since she arrived on a camel rather than in a limo like everyone else.

Rachel:

Age:31 From: Texas

Based off of the first episode you could say that Rachel and nick are a match made in Heaven. Without a doubt, she got the first rose of the season.

Raven:

Age:25 From: Arkansas

Raven definitely has the biggest personalities of all the girls.

Sarah:

Age: 26 From: California

Rather than wearing heels with her gown she wore sneakers claiming she is a “runner up”.

Taylor:

Age:23 From: Washington

Out of everyone Taylor and Nick probably got off on the wrong start. Taylor told him that all of her friends think Nick is horrible but, she is willing to give him a chance. Needless to say, Nick is not looking forward to meeting her friends.

Vanessa:

Age:29 From: Canada

I’m calling it now, Vanessa is going to win!

Whitney:

Age:25 From: Minnesota

Yet another girl in red!

The Bachelor is on ABC every Monday night at 8 pm.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Project Eve

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
