If you are a college student, you may have glanced at your calendar recently and come to the realization that it is almost midterm. A halfway point marked with celebration and panic as you realize that the semester is halfway done and summer is that much closer. However, it also means that midterm exams are soon approaching and deadlines are imminent. But, fear not! For here are some pictures that perfectly express the mixture of emotions experienced by students everywhere.

  • When you realize it’s almost midterm and the semester is almost over
  • But, that means midterm exams are coming
  • So, its time to study
  • Even though there is no time for that
  • When you think there is no way you are going to pass your midterms
  • No! There is still hope of succeeding!
  • Is there really though?
  • You can do it!
  • I don’t think I can…
  • But, then best friend comes in with some life saving!
  • Ok, I can do this
  • I’ll just have to sacrifice all of my time, energy, and soul in the process
  • When midterm exams finally happen *panic overload*
  • And, its over
  • You survived!!
  • But, now you have to wait for grades to come back
  • Luckily, spring break is now around the corner!
  • So, let’s celebrate all that hard work
  • Go out and kill those midterms!

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
