Fashion has always been about having gun with your clothes and accessories. For many, its an escape even. According to Elaine Newman (resident of Margate, Fl.), told Refinery29 "Heads should turn", says Elaine Newman. "I like things with flair. I like that someone goes 'wow' when they look at you. I don't ever want to melt into the background, ever, which is why I will never wear beige."

Refinery29 met with Newman and some of her Floridian neighbors who have a similar perspective when it comes to fashion. These women love to flash their gorgeous accessories and handbags to the world.

Here is Louise Levine one of Newman's neighbors, sporting a cat purse by designer Anna Sui.

Levine told Refinery29, "I like the animal print, even though I didn't in the beginning. But I thought it was extremely fashionable. I loved the bags with the cats, I thought it was classy. I felt it was good with my outfit."

Here is the one and only Elaine Newman sporting a Yazbukey bag. Newman says she changes bags every day, according to what outfit she wears. She contains saying, " I would never wear excuse me a boring Louis Vuitton bag, because I want the color to match my clothes. And it always does. Everybody always notices too."

Another one of Newman's friends, Enis Notaro, sporting a Dolce & Gabbana purse.

One of my personal favorites, Newman with her prada bag.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
