The Bachelor has finally turned a new leaf and we are so excited!

The next Bachelorette was announced early this week. Rachel danced her way into our hearts on Nick's season of The Bachelor and I have a feeling she is going to be one of the most down to earth Bachelorettes yet!

Here are 9 reasons why Rachel, the attorney from Dallas, will do a good job taking over our televisions this summer...

1. She goes with the flow in any environment! She loves being immersed in the local community and just being herself, no extra helicopter or island needed.

2. She got along well with all of the girls in the house, even Corinne! It's nice to see women lift each other up in that setting rather than tear each other down, and Rachel has that characteristic about her.

3. She was too good for Nick anyways! Let's be serious, he knew it too.

4. She is older, and truly there to find love- not to play games. She demonstrates that you can be a successful, confident, badass woman and still be nice at the same time!

5. Jennifer Aniston is a big Bachelor fan and told Jimmy Kimmel Rachel is one of her favorites. Enough said.

6. She doesn't have any extra pressure this time around. She told Good Morning America, “I’m honored to have this opportunity and to represent myself as an African-American woman and I just hope that people rally behind me like they did in Nick’s season!"

7. She's a smart cookie AND classy. You won't see her stripping down to get attention!

8. All of the Bachelor and Bachelorette alums love her! The crazy Ashley I, the funny Wells Adams, and the adorable Amanda Stanton all are obsessed with Rachel, so we are too.

9. Last but not least, she is making Bachelor history...twice! She is the first black female to not only get the first impression rose, but to also be titled The Bachelorette.

Cheers to the new season!

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

The Perks of Being a Girl

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

As frustrating and annoying as it can be, being a girl is really awesome. We are beautiful inside and out. Not a lot of people may see that, but girls have a ton of amazing qualities.

We have unique flirting skills.

Us girls have a significant way to flirt with other people. Even when we say the most random or awkward things, we have a way of making everything sound cute and planned. It’s just a gift; we’re good like that.

Us college students know all about the struggle of spending the day in the library. Whether you are writing a ten-page paper, studying for a biology exam, or struggling through math homework, you somehow find the strength to get to the library to get it all done. Let's just say you have a lot of different thoughts that run through your head during the many hours you spend in the lovely library.

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
