Poetry On Odyssey: It's 1:17 AM, And I Wrote This For You

So I've officially lost my mind

You have ruined my reputation

As a heartbreaker and player

So I hope you're happy with that

You and your stupid eyes

So blue I can hear the sonnets written about them

Before I even write them

You and your dorky smile

The one that lights up your face so bright

My eyes feel like they've looked into the sun

You and your dumb hair

The way it doesn't stay one color at all

And somehow still manages to look perfect

I'm telling you

You're a real piece of work

You're weird, geeky, dorky, a player

And your sheer presence

Makes me want to throw myself off a cliff

But

But

But

Lying has never been my strong suit

And neither has denial

So what I'm trying to say is

I really like your smile

Your hair changes color

Like I change my favorite song

Your eyes are so gorgeous

I can't look away for long

Yeah, you're athletic

Probably playing defense line

I'm not good with words around you

But

Would you like to be mine?

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
