To the people who are still waiting for that right person to come along and sweep them off their feet, know that you are not alone. Trust me, I know it is hard waiting for Mr./Mrs. Right to come along, but they will. I know you lay in bed at night praying for him/her, but you must remember that your love story is all in God's timing. Although, its hard to wait day after day, we must remember that God is the author to our love story and believe it or not he's better a writer than Nicholas Sparks.
Waiting is hard.
If you read in the Bible you will see many people who had to wait until they got what they wanted from God. Some examples are Hannah, Job, Abraham, Moses and even Jesus. Isaiah promises us this in the old testament, “but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31)

Pray about it.
Sometimes you get so discouraged when waiting. Pray about your situation. You should be praying every night for the man/woman of your dreams. Somewhere there is some praying for you. Praying that they will meet you and some day marry you. Psalm 37:4 tells us, "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart".
Believe in God's timing.
God's timing is perfect. I know that this is very hard to believe when all of your friends are in relationships, but you have to wait. He is making you wait for a reason that we cannot understand. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". What an amazing promise he gives us!
Be patient.
I know its hard. Trust me, I know. While everyone around you is engaged or married, you are here wondering when its ever going to be your turn. We have to be patient. We need to wait on the Lord. His timing is perfect, so we must be patient while waiting on Him. Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us, "There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven."
So, if you are still waiting, keep it up. Keep praying every night for the future love of your life. Imagine the love story you will be able to tell your grandchildren in the future and, even more special, tell them about the amazing author who wrote your love story.
