I am not talking to the boys and girls that are actually kids right now. To everyone that does not consider them self to be a kid, this is for you. You should adopt a few life lessons from the smallest and youngest of our kind.

No matter what point you are in your life, life can get extremely stressful. If you are in your late teens or early 20s, you face many decisions about your college education and career. We all endure relationship, health and financial struggles. It is easy to get caught up in everything that is going wrong or all the answer you do not know yet. As individuals, we forget to relax, breathe and live life fully.

Do not worry, we are not hopeless. Luckily, there are many individuals we can learn from. Whether they are your own kids, a niece, a nephew, a little brother or sister, or even a baby cousin surely they can help you out. Kiddos know a thing or two about living each day to the fullest. Kids are as carefree as it gets. They eat, play, sleep and repeat. They do whatever their heart desires. Each day they spend their time having fun, laughing and just enjoying life. Although we all have adult responsibilities to tend to, we should consider finding time to be a kid. Take the time to do what is going to make you happy.

We all should take the time to be carefree, so act like a kid every once in a while. By this, I do not mean throwing a fit when you do not get your way, and I am certainly not encouraging you to go back to wearing diapers. No, that would be strange. Be a kid, means to let go of everything that is stressing you out, relax and be carefree every one in a while. Do not neglect your responsibilities as an adult, but take some time to do the things you love. Allow yourself time to do whatever your heart desires, just as when you were a kid.

Every so often watch a movie or cartoon that you loved as a kid. Treat yourself and eat the delicious meal you are craving. Sleep in, stay in your pajamas all day. Do whatever it is that will allow yourself to be as happy as you were when you were a kid when all the decisions of life were not stressing you out.

I recently watched the movie "Finding Dory," a kid's movie but I thoroughly enjoyed myself laughing and reminiscing about "Finding Nemo."

We all deserve to let go of all our worries every now and then. So even though they are much younger than you, learn from the kiddos in your life. See how happy they are just doing simple things and then allow yourself these same moments of pure joy.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
