Here are 5 thoughts you will have when listening to Khalid's latest album:

1. This is about to be good

Giphy

The album begins with a magical and cinematic "Intro" song. Featuring Stranger Things vibes alongside Khalid's distinct raspy voice, the song prepares the listener for the emotional journey the album provides.

2. Update: it's DAMN GOOD.

Giphy

"Back Luck" officially starts out the album, already being listed as just one of the popular hits from "Free Spirit" on Apple Music.

3. This is NOT the Khalid we've heard before

Giphy

Khalid ultimately has mastered the skill of being able to bring a consistent vibe throughout each of his songs. Whether about lightheartedly not being able to get someone out of your head, or more somber songs, his consistent sound, and older vintage feel remains.

4. "Alexa, add 5 boxes of tissues to my cart".

Giphy

In expected Khalid style, his album features some songs that reveal life's everyday troubles in addition to his own personal struggles with self-perception and finding happiness. Featured lyrics like "Heaven, make me an offer. Lord, there's nothing for me left here." and "I shouldn't have to die to feel alive." will hit you harder than expected.

5. I CAN'T STOP.

Giphy

*has to constantly listen to the album on repeat to satisfy oneself until we're blessed with more*

So final thoughts of the album?

Giphy

NOTHIN'S BETTER.

AND he's actively involved with his fans and LOWERING merchandise/ticket prices for the sake of us all... a KING.

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
