Is There Going To Be A Harry Potter Go?

This past summer there has been a take over. The 90’s kids have finally had their dreams come true and we are all Pokemon Trainers. This new app produced by Niantic has taken over the world. It is played in over 30 countries so far world wide, and it is still speading! It is a game played on a mobile device that uses the GPS system to locate Pokemon. Once you locate them you can catch them, train them and battle them. Just like on television. You get to do it all. Other than a few (horrible) server issues, the game has had amazing reviews. Very shortly after its release though my fandom got an idea. The Harry Potter fandom wants to make Harry Potter Go a thing. *Nerd Alert* Even the thought of this is better than my birthday!! If it is true… There has been a petition made with over 40,000 signatures so far to make it a real thing. I’m telling you this needs to happen. Here is the link to the petition. If you are a PotterHead then check this out, it takes about a minute and a half!

I am just going to stop saying “if this becomes real” because I think it is going to be real so when this happens I have a few ideas of what we can expect. Obviously we must be sorted into the different houses. Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, or Slytherin. I don’t think it should be a choice like in Pokemon Go though. I think it should be close to what www.Pottermore.com does. It’s a simple personality quiz that sorts you into the specific house that you will excel in. just like the sorting hat.

Side note- I think it should link to existing Pottermore accounts- I wouldn’t want the quiz to come up with different results than what I already know I am.

Second we must get a wand. The wand is so important in wizardry obviously. *I am a nerd* There should also be a quiz for this because not every Slytherin has a twelve and three fourths inch Maplewood with a phoenix feather core and slight flexibility. There are so many options, it isn’t like Pokeballs which are all the same basically. Wands are chosen by a quiz on Pottermore and its said that those chosen by maple wands are by nature travellers and explorers. These wands are not stay at home wands they prefer ambition. Other wands may prefer a homebody, so the quiz again I believe will be pertinent to receiving the best and most personalized experience in the game.

Im not sure just yet what I believe the Go feature in the game will be. Possibly instead of Pokestops ,where you can pick up eggs, Pokeballs, and other random items, there might be places to “learn spells”, upgrade your robes, or collect dragon eggs like Hagrid. possibly even collect chocolate frogs! Maybe instead of having the gyms like Pokemon Go there will be areas where you can dual- Expelliarmus, might disable the other players app for a moment or play wizard chess and learn from Ron. There really are endless possibilities. Instead of finding Pokemon you could find Wizarding artifacts, things like Horcruxes, spell books, magical plants and pets. There could also be Basilisk fangs and Godric Gryffendor’s swords to find to destroy the horcruxes.

I am sure there will be rivalries just like in Pokemon Go. Everyone on Team Instinct thinks their team is the best, just like Valor and Mystic. I think the Harry Potter rivalries will go deeper though. This generation is the Harry Potter generation. Pottermore within a week of its launch had over one million users. Not to say Pokemon Go hasn’t had that large of an impact but within a couple weeks over 40,000 people have signed and over a million people have shared on facebook just a petition to have a HP-Go made. It is going to be huge! What house will you be? Will you Get sorted into Hufflepuff for your loyalty or Ravenclaw for your smarts? Maybe you will be sorted into Gryffindor due to your unwavering courage. Hopefully if you are as determined or resourceful as me you will end up in the best house around, Slytherin.

Niantic, listen to us! This will be huge! Shoot, I would even pay for it! It has been said they are working on it so I am keeping my fingers crossed and my wand at the ready! I cannot wait until the release of Harry Potter GO!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
