Villanova recently added a new coffee shop called Parliament to its campus. It is an addition to the Refectory restaurant in the Commons. The atmosphere and ascetic of this coffee shop is what every Instagrammer wants. This is the type of coffee shop you would imagine being in L.A. However, the major downside of Parliament is how expensive it is. A large black coffee is over $3 dollars. This is the most basic coffee you can get and you are spending close to $5 dollars! Not to mention how expensive the food is. I bought the hummus plate a few days ago and it was $6 dollars. I get that it is a healthier snack, but come on! We are broke college students just trying to get buy. We don't have the money to spend close to $10 on coffee and a snack!
Overall, I love the atmosphere of Parliament. It is the perfect place to grind out hours of work. I just can't get myself to spend any money there anymore. My bank account is going to be empty by the end of the semester if I keep it up.
P.S. to Parliament - Maybe reduce the prices of your goods and you would be even more of a hit on campus than you already are!
