20 Signs You Hibernate 8 Months Of The Year, Because Summer Is When You Thrive

1. You longingly stare at your gorgeous summer dresses when there is a foot of snow on the ground in hopes of summer beginning the next day

2. You can live off of watermelon

Watermelon is my primary food during the summer. I could eat an entire one by myself, but I know I would not like myself for doing it.

3. You have dreams of baking in the sun

4. Your motivation has gone from 100% to 0% between the first and second days of the school year

5. You can't wait to pull out the shorts and tank tops again

6. You are 99.999999% sure you have an extreme undiagnosed condition of Seasonal Affective Disorder

Oddly enough, it always begins the moment the weather is below 75ºF.

7. The winter season is ten times longer for you than it is for other people

8. You long for the day when you can finally move to the south for good

9. Snow is your worst enemy

10. But a warm, summer rain is the best thing ever

The steam that comes off the road after a summer downpour is the best and is so pretty.

11. Your favorite summer shoes are your bare feet

12. You don't understand why the weather is terrible to you in the winter

One day, it's 50ºF, and the next day, it's 29ºF and snowing.

13. You don't get people who love the cold

How is it even possible? As cold as it gets for me is a frappuccino.

14. You enjoy driving with the windows down in your car

I would preferably do this than have A/C.

15. You find flowers in full bloom on their stems seem to be the prettiest

16. One of your favorite foods is ice cream

April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation is notorious for her "I don't care" attitude. She speaks her mind without caring what anyone thinks of her. As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
