Unless you have been living under a rock, you're probably aware of the whole cheating scandal between Kylie Jenner and her ex-best friend Jordyn Woods. The Internet is currently eating up every little detail of the feud as well as taking sides. However, the bigger focus is not what the Kardashians, or Jordyn Woods, is saying, but rather the reactions. When Khloe unfollowed Jordyn on Instagram, it was a major headline. When Khloe reacted to Jordyn's interview of her side of the story, it was all the news.

We currently live in a society where actions truly speak way louder than words. It seems as though a simple unfollow speaks more than a whole story on a talk show. This is a prime example of the same petty culture that has carried on for years and has no signs of slowing down.

Petty culture is much older than social media, but the digital age has brought it to its prime. And let's be honest, we've all enjoyed occasionally shutting people down on the Internet or ghosting a friend on purpose to gain attention.

However, we are moving into a more tolerant society, where things like pettiness can no longer slide. We are moving into a society where people are no longer holding grudges and are moving forward, with or without others. We are moving more toward acceptance, where anyone's lifestyle choices are becoming less unusual and more ignorable.

It's sad that we are now in 2019 and we still waste time getting in other people's faces and trying to always have the last word. Not only is it a massive waste of time, but it also solves nothing and creates more trouble than we actually want.

Petty culture does not equal acceptance. It does not equal tolerance.

It's only who unfollows who on Instagram, and who shuts who down in the best way.

If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
