Do I recommend Logic's album "No Pressure"
Yes, yes, a million times yes
I've been a Logic fan as long as I can remember, and I'll be the first one to tell you that his newest and last album "No Pressure" is the most fulfilling end to Logic's career. The career of Logic has been a long ride with higher highs and even lower lows, but his newest album feels like a culmination of everything he's learned and put it to use.
Let me explain
Logic's best trait, in my opinion, is his willingness to change. Ever since his first album (Fittingly called "Under Pressure") he has never doubled back and settled on a certain style of rap. Logic's gone from telling his real stories of leaving poverty to an incredible album to tell an incredible work of fiction by telling a story entirely through rap without stopping, and that's what makes Logic admirable.
What about the Album?
It's amazing, there are honestly very few complaints I have with any of the songs. Every song has its own energy with the flow, bars, and instrumental constantly changing to keep your time listening unique. These songs aren't the gang lifestyle Logic used to rap about but rather his send-off to his rap career and finally, live a normal life. With hints of his experimental album "Supermarket" extremely prevalent in his songs, I can't help but feel like he's grown. Everything from the cut-throat community of rap to transitioning to the life of a father is something I didn't know I wanted to hear about but desperately appreciate.
What do I mean?
For the longest time Logic constantly released mediocrity after mediocrity and it really felt like the Logic we knew was just a shell of his former self, but thankfully that's far from the case. I'm really glad Logic took the break to think over a lot of what got him to that point and to carefully create something special. There are some real genuine topics brought to its purest form like how he doesn't feel like making music is what's best for him and his conflicting life of trying to be both a father and a rapper. It feels like a very genuine and honest sendoff to see this man grow album after album and finally show everyone what really makes Logic special.
