Aside from whether the concept of a soulmate is true or it is just a way to romanticize things, there is one thing that also puzzles most people – is it possible to find your soulmate online?

In a time wherein the internet is mainstream, could it provide the perfect channel to meet your soulmate?

After all, there are now tons of online dating sites, providing the opportunity to connect to your soulmate. All that you need to do is to read online dating sites reviews to be sure that you will be using the right platform.

So, in the rest of this post, we will tackle if it is really possible for you to find the one online or if it just a waste of time to use the internet with high hopes that this will pave way for meeting your soulmate.

But First, What Exactly is a Soulmate?

In one piece from Thought Catalog, it has been reiterated by the author that a soulmate refers to more than just the person you go out with on a date. It refers to the person you are comfortable being with, someone you think will help you become a better version of yourself. It is someone who knows your value and will never stop to make you realize that you are special. A soulmate is a person where you have an inexplicable connection, sort of like there is a gravity that pulls you two together. Interestingly, it does not only refer to romantic interests but can also be someone who is just a friend.

Evidence from Current Research

If you are really destined to be with another person, your paths will cross in one way or another. You can stumble into each other personally while walking the street or you can also meet online.

In one article from Forbes, it has been reiterated that there is now one study proving how online dating results in stronger marriages, which is perhaps one of the ways to say that indeed, you will possibly meet your soulmate online. This study was carried out by a professor at the University of Essex and a Ph.D. student at the University of Vienna. Based on a mathematical perspective, they concluded that those who met online tend to form a stronger bond during their marriage.

More so, in another study, the authors have also explored how online dating will have an impact on finding one's true love. In the said study, the conclusion was that online dating makes it possible to access potential partners who a person might be unable to meet personally because of certain limitations. Most dating sites have their own algorithms for compatibility matching, which makes it easier to be connected with some who has the same interests as yours. Psychological science is also involved, so it is no longer surprising that cupid's arm will strike anytime, presenting the potential for you to meet your soulmate online.

Now, let us look at some of the data from the Pew Research Center. From one study, it has been noted that one out of ten Americans have tried going online to find a date, although, not necessarily specified that they are looking for a soulmate. To add, in a population sampled for research, it is said that 23% of the people who dated using online apps or websites ended up being married. Nonetheless, it has not been stated how long they have been married or how happy they were in their lives. However, one thing is clear – they end up in marriage, which shows how there is indeed potential for you to find your soulmate online.

If you are still single and looking for a soulmate, now is the time to go online. After all, according to research and based on the real-life experiences of many people, it is indeed possible to find your soulmate online. One of the best ways to do this is to try online dating websites and apps.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
