In the middle of January, a devoted fan of the comedy sitcom Friends created a fan-based trailer for fun and uploaded it to YouTube. It ended up receiving quite some attention, like nine million views, and now fans are demanding a reunion movie. Even though this TV show ended in 2004, it has been subject to speculation over whether or not it should return. For a quick summary of the show, six friends, Rachel Green, Monica Geller, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing, Phoebe Buffay, and Ross Geller, live in the big city of Manhattan. They have had ten hilarious seasons packed with mystery plot twists and guest stars, such as Christina Applegate and Bruce Willis.
The trailer picks up from when Ben and Emma, Ross' kids, are all grown up. Mike and Phoebe are having trouble with their marriage, and Monica and Chandler are getting a divorce. All of the friends end up reuniting with each other, and new relationships, such as Ross' love interest for Phoebe, begin to form. This exiting and drama-filled trailer has gotten some die-hard fans excited.
The cast had previously discussed the idea of a reunion movie. David Schwimmer, the actor who plays Ross Geller, “Look, the thing is, I just don’t know if I want to see all of us with crutches [and] walkers,” and saying that all of them have grown up with their own path and highly doubts there will be a reunion.
Even though there have been other trailers made in the past, every time a new one is made, fans from all over the world seem to be more hopeful. Who knows, maybe we might see six old time friends sitting at the infamous coffee table at Central Perk.
