In high school all we want to do is graduate and get to college. In high school there are all these rules and most of the time that is why we want to leave. In college, well we don't have the rules that high school does and it's great. Here are five reasons why college is better than high school.

1. No dress code

You can literally wear whatever you want.

2. You choose what classes you take.

And with that, you're less miserable in class.

3. Phones are allowed (sometimes)

Ok, so this is actually a bigger deal than it seems. At my college, some professors are stricter on this policy, but some are very lenient. When you can have your phone out, there is a weird comfort about it and that isn't good for the generation because it shows how attached we are to our phones. It is helpful, however, if we need to Google something and we don't have our computers, we can just whip out our phone.

4. Less drama

I repeat: LESS DRAMA. In college, you don't have to be around people that you don't want to be around. In high school, it was inevitable to run into someone you didn't like and there was a better chance for the drama to start. In college you just avoid people and nobody knows you in the beginning so why would you get something started when you don't even have to?

5. Friends

College friends are better than high school friends. In college, you can decide who you want to become friends with because it's a fresh start, but in high school, you knew everyone and were automatically friends/acquaintances with them. College friends are lifelong friends, whereas high school probably isn't.

If you're like me you probably only talk to about three people you graduated with and only one is still your bestie for the restie. I mean don't we want friends like Ross, Chandler, Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, and Joey?

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
