Counting Down The 9 Best 'Iron Man' Suit-Ups From The Marvel Cinematic Universe

In This Article:

Ever since the release of Iron Man in 2008, the idea of wearing a mechanized super-suit has been on my to-do list. One of the coolest things, in my opinion, is the evolution of not just the suits themselves, but how they're put on.

Sure, claustrophobia might be a concern if you were in a suit, especially the ones that required a separate device to take on or off... but I do think it would be worth it to wear one. Now just to become a billionaire.. and hey, if all else fails and I can't get the tech for a mech suit, at least I could pull off Batman!

9. "Iron Man" (Mark 1, cave suit).

As far as suit ups go, this one isn't too exciting. Although I DO really enjoy the suit itself for it's "realness."

8. "Avengers: Age of Ulton" (Hulkbuster).

When the Hulkbuster was first revealed to me in a trailer, I thought it would be its own suit, but the fact that it was more of an attachment to other suits lowered its cool ranking.

7. "Avengers Infinity War."

Nanotech is neat, but I think they went too far with this one. It looks like the suit is defying physics by creating matter from nothing. Although, like Mark 1, I really like the suit as a whole.

6. "Captain America: Civil War."

I really liked a lot of this suit up except how it was executed. I mean, just a button? Really? If that was me I'd hit that so many times by accident.

5. "Iron Man 3" (final battle).

Tony goes through SO MANY SUITS in this scene, but the way he goes from suit to suit to suit to suit is so slick. Some were cooler than others, but it was still neat to see so many.

4. "Iron Man" (Mark III).

While this suit isn't as flashy as his new ones, the way he suits up in it feels so doable. We see pieces getting hooked and connected. I could see Elon Musk having one of these set up in his basement...

3. "The Avengers" (Mark VII).

The clip I linked is like a twofer. We see a cool un-suit then an AMAZING suit up as Tony is falling to his death. Only complaint... I feel like he fell for an unreasonable amount of time... but it's not like this is the most real of real universes we live in.

2. "Iron Man 3."

I loved this particular suit up for Tony's humor and the way the pieces just flew to him in the ways that were also usable by themselves to a certain extent.

1. "Iron Man 2."

I have loved this suit since I first saw "Iron Man 2" in the theaters. The idea of a travel suit was cool and done really well. We see the suit is almost skeletonized with fewer gadgets, which makes sense having it be for travel. Plus it still looks almost doable for the size and way he put it on. 10 outta 10.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
