Introduction of the Types and Selection Principles of Automotive Wiring Harness Terminals

1. Types of automotive wiring harness terminal

According to the shape, the terminals can be divided into slice series, cylindrical series, and wire connector series.

1) The slice series terminals are made of H65Y or H70Y material, and the material thickness is 0.3-0.5.

2) Cylindrical series terminals are made of H65Y or Qsn6.5-0.1 material, and the material thickness is 0.3-0.4.

3) Wire automotive connector terminals are divided into three types: U-shaped, fork-shaped and hole-shaped.

① The U-shaped terminal is made of H62Y2, H65Y, H68Y or Qsn6.5-0.1 material, and the material thickness is 0.4~0.6;

②Fork-shaped terminals are also called Y-type terminals. Y-type terminals are made of H62Y2 with a thickness of 0.4-0.6. Part of the surface is nickel-plated with good conductivity;

③ Hole terminals generally use H65Y and H65Y2 as the base material, and the material thickness is 0.5 to 1.0.

2. Selection principle of automotive wiring harness terminal

It needs to choose terminals with different coatings according to different connectors and different needs. For equipment that requires high performance, such as airbags, ABS, car ECU connector, terminals should be gold-plated to ensure safety and reliability. However, for cost considerations, partial gold-plating can be selected on the premise of meeting performance requirements.

The specific selection principles are:

① Ensure that the terminals are reasonably matched with the selected connectors.

②Choose the appropriate terminal for the wire diameter of the crimped wire.

③For single-hole waterproof connectors, choose a terminal whose tail can crimp the waterproof plug.

④Ensure the reliability of the connection. When selecting automobile wiring harness terminals, ensure good contact with electrical components and plug-ins, so as to minimize contact resistance and improve reliability. For example, surface contact is better than point contact, and pinhole type is better than leaf spring type. In the design, the connector with double spring compression structure (with very low contact resistance) should be preferred.

⑤ Impedance matching. Some signals have impedance matching requirements, especially radio frequency signals, which have stricter requirements for impedance matching. When the impedance is not matched, signal reflection will be caused, which will affect signal transmission. Therefore, when selecting automotive wiring harness terminals, you must choose impedance-matched terminals.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
