Hear this out: according to the latest statistics, the YouTube Partner Program has over 2 million members that are being paid through their channels.

YouTube is one of the most discussed topics of the year. Why? Because the stories of millions of paid YouTubers tend to leave an exciting and motivating thought. Not to mention, those that make millions on it.

But, what some think is that YouTube success and money is a matter of luck. Truth is that, also the biggest creators like PewDiePie, have worked hard to get there, by optimizing their content day by day, and to make sure it would grow day by day.

So, have you started your channel? If so, then how do you know that you are making progress?

Please keep reading to learn how to check your channel's progress through multiple methods. Also, after learning these methods, you will be able to create more appropriate and suitable content.

The Free Rank Tracker

Some factors are a good way to know how your channel is progressing, but it may be hard to manually track it daily. Still, you need to be able to check the rank of your videos to validate your channel's overall performance better. And the good news, is that nowadays there is websites that offer similar rank tracking tools for free, so no need to spend big bucks to know how your videos are progressing.

This free YouTube rank tracker has worked amazingly for me. They provide a ranking system based on your videos' views, based on specific keywords and countries. And the data is extremely accurate, since it uses the official YouTube API to get information: no cookies or watch history that may influence and give a misleading result.

Furthermore, I also use their other services like purchasing organic views for my YouTube channels.

Also, there came sometimes when I needed to improve my videos' ranks, so I found them ready to help me out. Finally, I cannot recommend them enough to you if you want to track your progress, or make it faster.

How to check it yourself?

How do you know that your YouTube channel is actually growing, and you are not throwing arrows in the dark?

The only way to tell if your YouTube channel is growing is to measure your growth. To do that, you need some data, and the best place to get the data about your channel is using your own account's statistics.

Using YouTube Analytics

YouTube analytics of your channel provides you with relevant detail about your channel's performance. It is highly recommended to keep checking this part of your channel regularly to better understand your progress as a YouTube creator. To do that:

·Firstly you need to sign in to your YouTube account and open YouTube Studio.

·On the primary dashboard, you'll notice a few summary stats. View Additional for more information.

·Depending on the information you need, switch between Overview, Reach, Engagement, and Audience.

·Choose Advanced Mode in the top right corner for a more comprehensive overview of your channel data and metrics for individual videos.

·In Advanced Mode, set the parameters you desire to track to download a report. Then, click the arrow pointing downwards in the upper right corner. To produce your report, use Google Sheets or a CSV file.

·You may also click Compare To in the upper right corner of Advanced Mode. This allows you to compare channel growth year over year, initial 24-hour video performance, and individual video performance to your full channel analytics.

Can you use YouTube analytics on your mobile?

Yes, YouTube analytics of your channel can easily be checked on your mobile device.

To use YouTube analytics on your mobile device, you must download the YouTube Studio app. On the app, it won’t be as detailed as on Desktop, but they can still offer precious insights and they allow you to analyze your video performance while on a ride to work, school, or any other free moment during your day.

To check analytics on Mobile, follow these steps:

·Download the appropriate version for iPhone or Android if you don't already have it on your phone.

·On the main dashboard, you'll notice a few summary stats. View Additional for more information.

·Depending on the information you need, switch between Overview, Reach, Engagement, and Audience.

How do YouTube Pros check their ranks?

All of the successful YouTubers continuously check their stats to make improvements to your fresh content.

Since they are successful people, they use pro services to analyze their continuous success further.

Also, YouTubers often use data to keep themselves motivated and improve their content.

Ultimately, most seasoned YouTubers check the following stats of their channels.

·They analyze each piece their content to make improvements in the future

·Secondly, they look at the channel's number of views, average retention and traffic sources

·Thirdly, they check their engagement rates and what source of traffic or video bring the best engagement

So, make sure to check the above stats concerning their videos. And if you need to also track progress for specific keywords on YouTube search, sites like YtRank or LenosTube offer such tool for free. (Note that unfortunately, keyword tracking is not available on YouTube Studio)

It would be best to remember that you need to study a more detailed version of your YouTube channel analytics if you are a new or struggling YouTuber.

Bonus Tips for Successful YouTube Channel

The first and foremost factor that can put your channel on the path of good earning is promotion. Follow the following tips:

·As a channel owner on YouTube, you have a great responsibility on your shoulders. It is your responsibility to do the best for your audience and promote your channel. Also, suppose you are not promoting your channel, then it would seem like you are not interested in your channel. That is why also YouTube wants you to do it. Don’t be shy and go promote your channel all over the web, on various social media’s and to friends.

·Another crucial thing is to create the right audience for your channel. You can do so by creating unique and content around a narrow niche. A targeted audience will naturally follow.

·Use pro services to track the rankings of each of your videos and your channel as a whole, not just YouTube Studio Analytics. Pro services such as YtRank or LenosTube are free to use.

·Share your thoughts and content on social media. Also, the power of today's social media cannot be ignored since most of the world is connected through it - so share your content on all the powerful platforms once they go live.

·Never overlook the importance of the first 24 hours when your video goes live, that is why go strong in the beginning, then relax. Go strong means social media shares, marketing efforts and so on: anything that could drive traffic to the video.

Conclusion

Finally, your channel's attributes and statistics are the only things you should worry about. If you follow the discussed instructions precisely and keep tracking your channel's progress regularly - you can have a successful channel in no time. So, tracking your channel's progress gives you a clear idea of your channel's progress or demise. Good Luck!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
