Exclusive Interview With DubVision

Dutch brothers Victor and Stephan Leicher are on tour now, this past weekend the duo performed at the lavishing nightclub LAVO in New York City. Spotted DubVision inside the restaurant before their set, recognizing each other from previous interviews we started by talking about music, food, and Amsterdam. We continued the interview outside because of the noisy restaurant, they were really excited to perform at the nightclub, “I like the diversity of intimacy of a club”.

The duo who is fast at conquering the world of dance music, their fire remix of The Chainsmokers is a huge success. “We've been fans of The Chainsmokers for a long while even before ‘Roses’ and everything, we've already been talking to them because they're also big fan of ours.” Did you ever imagine that your remix to The Chainsmokers - ‘Inside Out’ would be so successful? “They reached out for our ‘Inside Out’ remix, we have to do it. We loved the melody already so we changed it a little but it still has the original feel but a bit more our style so we were very happy with it and they were very happy with that as well.”

What was your favorite festival this year? “Ultra Singapore that was our first time performing there and just the whole experience was amazing as fuck and also Tomorrowland was really cool.” What are you most excited for ADE? “We have a couple of things we are playing, at the Heineken Music Hall at Sunday closing the week.” DubVision is performing their biggest afterparty of the year the AMF Official Closing: AMF & Friends. “Then we have a very exciting Revealed party for our hardcore fans, it's going to be super excited we're going to support our boys Firebeatz at Jimmy Woo on Saturday, Firebeatz and Friends: Jimmy Woo. We're going to go to The Chainsmokers before so a lot of you know everybody's together just like Miami but over there it gets pretty cold in Amsterdam.” But you will be in your hometown during Amsterdam Dance Event, “yeah we're going to have all our family and friends there too.”

Any new music in the near future? “We have a new one coming out in November. Then we have a new record and everything but I can’t say too much about it yet but it's going to be on Musical Freedom. So much new music but also a little bit different than our older stuff but going to be released later next year.” The brothers played an unbelievable set along with the wonderful environment, even playing their ‘Inside Out’ remix and everyone clapping and cheering when they dropped. Another perfect set from DubVision leaving their fans wanting more until the end of their performance. Still going far in the music industry shocking the world one incredible record after the next. You can catch DubVision on the last of their tour during Amsterdam Dance Event and in the UK.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
