Wake up, eat breakfast, go to work. Becoming used to a monotonous lifestyle can be frustrating and difficult to the type of person who wants more and believes they deserve it.

I exploited the opportunity to message Tray through Twitter, asking to interview him and to my luck, he responded early the following morning, before 8:00.

After listening to a couple of his songs, I became inspired. His song "Dreaming Selfishly" challenged me to change my mindset. This song shoved a handful of hope down my throat and made me choke on it. It is clear to me that Tray wants to be successful as badly as he wants to breathe. Take the opportunity to discover more information about this success-hungry machine, Tray Samuels.

1. Where are you from?

"Hi, my name is Tray Samuels. and I am from Oak Cliff, a small area in Dallas, Texas.

Growing up, my family was poor. We simply didn't have much in material. Although I never felt poor because the love in home was rich and genuine."

2. Who is your biggest role model and what is a low point someone helped you escape?

"My biggest role model is J-Cole. In and out of the studio he carries himself with a chip on his shoulder. It's inspiring. The hardest I ever rock bottom was when I lost my girlfriend that I was very attached to. My brother and closest friend let me lean on them when I needed to."

3. Inspiration came from...

"Well, my grandparents are famous musicians so creating music has always been therapeutic. Through my music I hope to: share my story and help others that went through similar situations I have faced. Life can be difficult so I was only nineteen years old when I started taking this serious."

4. What is most important to you?

"To answer this question-I could go two different routes. The first route: I want to see my mom happy, and I want to be happy with her. The second route: I would love to fill everyday with fulfilling conversations and ideas, while spending time with the people I love. I'd like to promote the idea of self-love, it is the most important constant in my life."

5. What are some constants in your daily routine?

"I wake up early every morning. I usually drink water or ginger ale for breakfast, I know it is kinda weird but it wakes me up! I also workout about five hours a week and spend most of my time working on music. Whether it is creating a beat or mixing a background vocal...EVERYDAY."

6. What random talents do you have and on the other hand what is a weakness you have?

"I know how to play the violin! Oddly enough, I also used to take some pretty nerdy computer classes and I learned how to code a website. I can't swim for long distances, or float...smh."

7. What was school like for you?

"School was actually good. I went to a magnet school before college and even then I had a feeling of what I wanted to do with my career. Although, college is where I figured out what direction in life I was moving toward. My opinion on going to college is, it simply is not for everyone. You shouldn't put yourself in a situation facing debt unless you're mind is set on what you want to do. Really look at why you're going."

Tray Samuels has set the bar high for himself with a chunky handful of songs that you simply won't be able to stop listening to. Listen to my favorite picks: Money in & Out, Dreaming Selfishly, and Summer Fling! Available on Spotify.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
