Everything you need to know about having an online friendship!

Today I would like to talk about a little something called internet friends.

For those of you know are reading this and personally know me, this might be a little interesting to you.

An internet friend is exactly what it sounds like...a friend that you meet on the internet.

I first want to say that in order to make an internet friend, it must be done safely. I make my friends on twitter, and when I first start talking to someone I like to trade Instagram and Snapchat usernames. This allows me to look and see that they are a real person. I get to see that they are not a catfish and I get to see their face. I also look them up on FaceBook and scroll through their pictures on twitter to see their selfies and make sure they are who they claim to be. I have never run into an incident where I suspected that someone I was talking to was not who they say they were. I do not go onto random chat websites and begin talking to the first person I come in contact with. I also don't give out any personal information. For example, my friends know what state I live in, but they do not have my address or even know the town I live in.

I am really close with all of my internet friends and I think we have a really special bond. I think this is because it's not like we get to see each other in person like we do with our real life friends. We also share things in common, for example, I made all of my friends by finding people who like the same singers that I do.

I hope that by reading this article, you don't think that I abandon my real life friends for my online ones. I still talk to, text, and spend time with my real life friends!

I think the idea of internet friends is really cool because I have friends that live all over the United States of America, and I even have one friend who lives in Canada. I have friends that live as close to me as 1 hour away and as far from me as 42 hours (yes I looked it up. Oregon is 2,894 miles from New York!).

I think that as long as you don't ditch your real life friends and as long as you make online friends safely, having internet friends can be really awesome.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
