Bald Knob Street, or just "Bald Knob," is a mysterious place located in the small town of Wetumpka, Alabama. It is a tiny one lane road that winds up a mountain, which is home to three houses and at the top of the hill is multiple cell phone towers and satellites. However, as it seems to be a simple normal place, it is known for many myths and stories.

While you ride up what feels like a tall mountain, you will pass many gates to properties, and as you look over to your right or left, you will notice the deep drop offs that look too dangerous to be near. As you near the top, you will see the huge cell phone towers and many small creepy looking buildings. Off the main road are many mysterious landmarks that you can not see from your drive up the hill.
As you get near the end of your journey of the road, you will be near a place which is home to one of the most strangest places of Bald Knob. There is half built house located off the main road. The home is in the shape of a circle and looked like the owner was building it alone, because all of the construction materials are still located there as if the owner just disappeared. There is a basement that you can enter underneath the house. However, there is a solid concrete door that hides the other 75 percent of the basement, which no one has entered before. This is perhaps one of the most mysterious places in the city of Wetumpka.
There is also a trail that leads to a balcony that overlooks the Wetumpka Impact Crater. There use to be events held here however there has not been any to my knowledge in many years.
Along with the unique places on Bald Knob, there are many myths and stories that go along with the road as well. There is a myth that there is a satyr that calls the road home with the nickname "The Goat Man." As this myth has been talked about for many years, unfortunately, no one has ever seen the alleged creature.
Bald Knob is an interesting place filled with many weird places and stories. A must see location if you are in the Montgomery, Alabama area.
