At least procrastinate diligently.

10 Things We'd All Rather Do Instead Of Studying For Midterms

Some of us are already done with midterms. Most have it in the coming days. For me, my first one is exactly one week from now. This is the time when everything, and I mean everything, seems exciting. I made a list the 10 things we'd, all the procrastinators in us, would rather do than prepare for midterms.

1. Laundry!!

I love the smell of fresh laundry and since you have to do it anyways, it’s better to do it before you study.

2. Plan out the rest of your week, month, year, in hourly intervals.

By doing this, you know how to spend every exact hour until your exam (and finals!).

3. Do a thorough clean of the room (bathroom, kitchen, closet, and drawers).

You roommates/suite-mates will be so happy to return to the room with vacuumed floors, scrubbed bathtubs and sinks, and neatly organized kitchen utensils.

4. Start a brand new TV show (or Korean drama).

Even better if it is already completed or at least 5 seasons into it. Then, you don't have to waste time wondering which TV show to watch next.

5. Go to the gym.

To counter the junk food and late night snacks you will be eating in the coming week, start going to the gym and start the summer body early.

6. Read through messages (FB chats, What's App, texts) with old friends, exes, and anyone else.

If you haven’t done this already, trust me when I say you will be too embarrassed by your old self to do anything for the present self.

7. Go grocery shopping for essentials.

The word essential says it all. Buy what it takes for you to survive this week.

8. Take a long walk to Times Square and beyond.

It takes around 2 hours to walk to Times Square and back, if you aren't distracted. I don’t know why anyone would put themselves to that, but I did. It wasn’t that bad tbh.

9. Make a Pinterest for possible Halloween costumes.

The week after midterms is Halloween, so better prepare in advance.

10. Walk through every floor of Bobst.

It’s a great study break and you get to meet a lot of new people.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
