It's that time of year again. Three weeks out and we say we will start studying for finals, but every time we open our laptop, we end up looking at formal dresses online. Two weeks out and we say we will start studying, but every time we look at our notes, we look at formal pictures and can't believe who took who.
Here we are. It's the week of finals. I bet I can guess what you'll be doing this week instead of studying for your finals.
1. Working out because you missed "spring break bod" and summer is almost here.
2. Wishing your nursing friends good luck and that you'll miss them.
3. Panicking because nursing friends are actually all you have.
4. Panicking because you have to go back to WebMD for all of your medical problems.
5. Shopping for graduation presents.
6. Planning out how to go to every graduation party on the same day.
7. Opening your notes.
8. Realizing that your paper smells funny.
9. Figuring out all of the different positions that you can sit but still study.
10. Closing your notes as soon as your friend says she needs to treat herself for studying so hard.
11. Laying out at the View / Collins / your backyard / Aspen / maybe the middle of campus (been there, done that, no judgment).
12. Wondering how this semester flew by so quickly.
13. But seriously, wasn't spring break, like, yesterday?
14. Making a summer bucket list.
15. Double-checking your summer bucket list with your BFFs.
16. "Spring cleaning."
17. Discovering that spring cleaning is actually the first time you've cleaned for the first time all semester.
18. Peering (briefly) at your exam schedule and deciding if it is good or not.
19. Calculating exactly what you need on your final to pass the class.
20. Making sure you can still skip classes this week.
21. Planning your first road trip after the semester ends.
22. Texting your mother and complaining about all of the things that you have to do.
23. Spending the afternoon hiking Cameron Park because it is finally pretty outside.
24. Squeezing in coffee dates with every person you were closer with last semester than this semester.
25. Desperately wishing you had spent more time with certain people.
26. Realizing that it's going to be a lonely summer without some of your best friends. Three months is a long time.
27. Saying goodbye to your favorite seniors at your last meeting.
28. Asking your friends if they've had their mental breakdown yet.
29. Having your own mental breakdown in Club Moody's bathroom.
30. Carrying a whole gallon of Goldfish crackers with you to keep awake.
Here's to becoming a professional procrastinator, narrowly avoiding all responsibilities, and deeply regretting it when you walk into your first exam. Good luck on finals!
