The 7 Most Instagrammable Walls In LA

I'm pretty sure I just made up the word "instagrammable"...

The 7 Most Instagrammable Walls In LA

Okay, so like every other college student, I am very very low on funds (thank you 3am Taco Bell runs and that manicure I just had to have!).

And unfortunately, I am the definition of "champagne taste on a beer budget".

These two factors thrown on top of just coming home from a semester abroad filled with traveling every weekend = TROUBLE.

I am so stuck in this place of missing my days of doing fun and exciting things while I lay in bed and eat the same kind of sandwich I've made for the past 2 weeks.

SO I went further into my misery and began looking at old pictures from my last year of traveling to Texas, Los Angeles, Maryland, Chicago, New York City and all over Europe and noticed that I have this weird thing with taking pictures in front of and simply of cool walls.

I am drawn to cool backgrounds, murals, wall art, and anything that is "aesthetically pleasing".

So in order to trump my desire to be out exploring, I started researching the most Instagrammed walls and narrowed my search down to Los Angeles (because it's my fave place!) and this is what I came up with!

The Paul Smith Wall

Located in West Hollywood! I actually have a picture in front of this one!

The "Made In LA" Wall

Located in Melrose

"Angel Wings"

Located at St. Regis Wine & Liquor, 8401 W. 3rd St. (at S. Orlando Avenue), Beverly Grove

The Love Wall

Located in Culver City

Polka Dot Wall

Located in DTLA Arts District

Bleeding Hearts

Located on Abbot Kinney in Venice (I also have a picture here!!)

Mondrian Wall

Located in Mid-City

I thought this might cure my traveling blues, but now I'm just feeling sad that my Instagram game is lacking. Oh well, until next time LA!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
