I think it is safe to say the best way to brighten anyone's mood, if only for a split second, is by the sight of baby animals. I know you are subject to stop scrolling down your Facebook feed when there is a video of a puppy snuggling on a kitten.
See what I mean.
Recently, I've stumbled upon an Instagram account that features my favorite animal, a baby goat. This is no ordinary Instagram account, however. Goats of Anarchy is a goat rescue facility for baby goats with special needs. They take in goats that are injured or disabled in any way, and rehabilitate them. Once they are rehabilitated they are kept at the sanctuary as their forever home to live their lives to the healthiest and fullest.
The founder, Leanne Lauracella, went from being a "career girl in New York," to a farm girl wearing muck boots everyday. She had a dream and she followed it. She not only wants to help these animals heal, but also wants to promote the care and responsibility of having baby goats as pets.
Social media plays a crucial role in the support of this organization. By following their Instagram you are also following the journey of the babies as they travel to get the surgeries and care they need. You can be there from start to finish on their healing journey, as well as check up on them once they are happy as can be running around the sanctuary.
You can make donations in order to aid the rescue, or you can simply hit the follow button to stay up to date on the recent goat news and learn tips on how to care for your own baby goat the right way.
